Scott brings two decades of extensive experience in asset management, driven by a passion for delivering innovative investment solutions and creating lasting value for clients. His expertise spans institutional investors, wealth management, and close collaboration with advisors to design and implement tailored strategies that address their clients’ unique needs. At Sowell Management, Scott applies his deep knowledge of institutional investment management to drive growth, nurture key client relationships, and deliver customized solutions that align with the goals of both advisors and their clients.

Before joining Sowell, Scott founded Fusion Investment Group in 2006, where he served as CEO and Chief Investment Officer. He also held senior roles as Managing Partner and CIO at Blue Vase Holdings, where he played a key role in the firm’s growth and investment decision-making and his leadership helped drive the firm’s growth to over $1 billion in assets before its sale to ING. He brings deep expertise in managing client relationships, having raised more than $850 million in client assets and over $25 million in early-stage capital.

Scott’s career includes roles at Rayliant Global Advisors, where he led strategic initiatives and firm growth, and at Columbus Macro, as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager. His broad experience in investment management and strategic sales has helped him develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry and the unique needs of clients and advisors.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Scott earned his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, with studies in London and Singapore. He also holds a BS in finance with honors from Grove City College. Outside of his professional work, Scott is deeply committed to charitable causes, serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for The Asservo Project, which works to protect and rescue children from sex trafficking and exploitation.

Scott resides with his family in South Carolina. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children and is passionate about giving back to his community and supporting organizations that align with his values.
